Description

Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU

Location

Americus, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (6:45 PM start) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Rotating holidays

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Independently monitor and interpret telemetry using Philips monitoring equipment
Operate and manage ventilated patients using Draeger ventilators
Care for patients with diagnoses including pneumonia, CHF, sepsis, and lower-acuity ICU presentations with a stepdown-level acuity profile
Occasionally care for surgical pediatric patients as needed
Collaborate with in-house hospitalist coverage and 24/7 respiratory therapy support

Required Qualifications

Active RN license in good standing
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Proficiency or ability to work with Meditech EMR
Ability to independently monitor and read telemetry

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with Draeger ventilators
Familiarity with Omnicell medication dispensing systems
Charge nurse experience; charge nurses in this unit take patients
