Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and clinical goals
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Oregon
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or eligibility
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel or contract therapy experience
- Familiarity with MDS documentation and Medicare/Medicaid compliance in SNF environments
- Experience with dysphagia assessment and treatment including modified barium swallow studies
