Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care / Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Clifton Springs, NY
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 5x8-Hour Shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a long-term care setting with an average daily census of 21 patients across a 23-bed unit
- Maintain a staffing ratio of 1:10 across all shifts
- Serve in a charge nurse capacity as required
- Float to other units as needed to support facility staffing needs
- Complete required pre-start orientation modules prior to assignment start date
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic health records system
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency in EPIC is a hard requirement
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (local candidates are not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred (first-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment)
- Experience in a long-term care or medical surgical/telemetry environment
