Travel RN – NICU (Nights)
Location
Thornton, Colorado
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 2 NICU setting, maintaining patient ratios of 3:1 for feeder growers and 1:1 for vented patients
- Assist NNPs with procedures including umbilical line placement, intubation, lumbar puncture, and circumcision
- Operate and monitor specialized neonatal equipment including Giraffe Omnibeds and STAR GE resuscitation systems
- Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
- Collaborate with an on-site NNP and on-call Neonatologist as part of a core night shift team
- Participate in infant resuscitation and stabilization as required by facility standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current NICU RN acute care experience
- Level 2 NICU experience required
- Infant resuscitation experience required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Level 3 and/or Level 4 NICU experience
- Experience with Eat Sleep Console (ESC) protocol for babies with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
- Delivery room admission and initial stabilization experience
