Key Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of MRI patient exam activities at a technical level that produces high-quality diagnostic images consistent with established policies and procedures.
- Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and confidence throughout the imaging process.
- Operate and maintain all assigned MRI scanning equipment, including performing routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks.
- Position patients, select appropriate settings, and conduct scanning procedures to accurately capture images as requested by a physician.
- Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients, staff, and self; comply with all Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
- Maintain all required documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required.
- Experience working with pediatric through geriatric patient populations required.
- Active ARRT certification required.
- Current BLS certification required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel assignment experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Siemens or Philips MRI equipment a plus.
- Experience with Cerner RIS and GE PACS systems preferred.
