Job Title

Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Pittsburg, Kansas

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide speech-language pathology services within an Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU), with potential float coverage to acute care and outpatient settings
Evaluate and treat patients presenting with diagnoses including stroke, neurological conditions, lower extremity fractures and replacements, TBI, orthopedic, and other complex conditions
Perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies as part of dysphagia assessment and management
Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans accurately within the facility EMR system (Meditech)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

Required Qualifications

Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license valid in the state of Kansas
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Demonstrated ability to perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies
Experience in acute care or acute rehabilitation settings
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior experience working in an ARU or inpatient rehabilitation environment
Familiarity with Meditech EMR platform
Experience treating patients with neurological, orthopedic, and traumatic brain injury diagnoses
