Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry
Location
Rocky Mount, NC
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (18:45 – 07:15) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms
- Care for patients in isolation and overflow unit settings, including COVID-designated areas
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Telemetry experience required
- Basic Arrhythmia exam score of 85% or greater required
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Permanent address must be 50 or more miles from the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Prior experience in isolation or overflow unit environments
