Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location
Florence, SC
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Possible weekend rotation (approximately once per month)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology services to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Document patient progress and clinical findings using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehabilitation team members to support patient care plans
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November) if applicable
Required Qualifications
- Current South Carolina state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Radiation badge compliance required
- Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
- Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility; locals are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of one year of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records charting system
- Experience working in a high-acuity or acute care rehabilitation environment
