Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Perform 60-minute evaluations and treatments with an orthopedic patient population, progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements while maintaining professional licensure in good standing

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Proficiency in medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific State Practice Act and professional code of conduct
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards including safe patient handling and infection control practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
• Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and ongoing professional development
