Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Observation Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Possible Rotating Weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Observation unit during overnight shifts
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, progress, and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Ensure patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and discharge planning
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, Joint Commission standards, and applicable regulations

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification (ACLS may be required)
• Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Willingness to work rotating weekends as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an Observation unit setting
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with HCA Healthcare systems and workflows
