Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 6-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 19-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, managing critical, neonatal, and intermediate-level patients according to established ratios
• Admit new patients to the unit and perform comprehensive assessments
• Operate and monitor various ventilator types including conventional, jet, and nitric oxide ventilators
• Start and maintain peripheral intravenous lines; perform central line maintenance and line changes
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and bare-below-the-elbows policy
• Float to Pediatrics and PICU as needed; work alternating weekends and two fall holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience
• Demonstrated ability to admit new patients to a NICU setting
• Ability to work with multiple types of ventilators (conventional, jet, nitric oxide)
• Current BLS certification; NRP required within 6 months of hire
• Strong team-player mindset with ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Hands-on experience with multiple ventilator types in a NICU environment
• Experience with infection prevention practices in a neonatal or critical care setting
• STABLE certification (encouraged)
• Familiarity with Centricity Perinatal (CPN) and Meditech EMR systems
