Occupational Therapist (OT) – Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) – Travel Contract
Location
Ottumwa, Iowa
Schedule / Job Type
Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 32 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatments to patients on the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) and Medical/Surgical unit as needed
- Float between the ARU and Medical/Surgical floor to cover evaluations and treatments as required
- Deliver care to a geriatric, adult, and general diagnosis patient population
- Document patient care and progress using Net Health electronic health record system
- Work a minimum of one weekend per month as part of the standard schedule
- Report to and collaborate with the unit Program Director to ensure quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Iowa
- Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience
- Ability and willingness to float between ARU and Medical/Surgical units
- Familiarity with or ability to learn Net Health EHR documentation system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an acute rehabilitation or medical/surgical setting
- Experience working with geriatric and adult patient populations across general diagnoses
