Occupational Therapist (OT) – Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) – Travel Contract

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 32 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatments to patients on the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) and Medical/Surgical unit as needed
• Float between the ARU and Medical/Surgical floor to cover evaluations and treatments as required
• Deliver care to a geriatric, adult, and general diagnosis patient population
• Document patient care and progress using Net Health electronic health record system
• Work a minimum of one weekend per month as part of the standard schedule
• Report to and collaborate with the unit Program Director to ensure quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Iowa
• Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience
• Ability and willingness to float between ARU and Medical/Surgical units
• Familiarity with or ability to learn Net Health EHR documentation system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an acute rehabilitation or medical/surgical setting
• Experience working with geriatric and adult patient populations across general diagnoses
