Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, making decisions and taking actions within the full scope of nursing practice
• Perform unit procedures including IV initiation, NG tube placement, Foley catheter insertion, dressing changes, and assistance with ADLs
• Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for both patients and fellow care providers
• Demonstrate competency in patient experience standards including AIDET, bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and service recovery
• Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic documentation system
• Float to other units as needed per department floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or active Compact RN license (temporary licenses are not accepted)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surgical Telemetry specialty experience
• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
• Demonstrated proficiency with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
