Contract | Travel | Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Rotating Weekends | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, making clinical decisions and taking actions within the full scope of nursing practice
• Perform unit procedures including IV initiation, NG tube placement, Foley catheter insertion, dressing changes, and assistance with ADLs
• Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and care team members while maintaining compliance with facility policies, procedures, and standards
• Demonstrate competency in patient experience standards including AIDET, bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and service recovery protocols
• Document patient care accurately using the facility electronic health record system
• Supervise ancillary and support staff as designated within the department

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License in Texas or active Compact RN License — temporary licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surgical Telemetry specialty experience required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system preferred
• Familiarity with general Med/Surg telemetry workflows and monitoring in an acute care setting
