Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and identify nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems using the nursing process
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care for assigned patients
- Utilize knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to facilitate smooth transitions through the healthcare encounter without preventable complications or delays
- Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act, patient condition, and employee competencies
- Coordinate patient care delivery across the health care team using a professional nursing practice model
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license or active Compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience in an acute care setting
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must disclose any previous employment history at this facility at time of submission
- Proof of taxable address required (e.g., Driver's License, utility bill, lease/rental agreement, mortgage statement, insurance statement, voter registration, bank statement, or tax return)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with public health system environments and care delivery models
- Experience working within a team-based, collaborative nursing practice model
