Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population across Medical-Surgical, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, and PCU units
  • Float as required to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the facility
  • Manage a patient ratio of 1:4–5 on PCU and 1:5–6 on MS and MS/Tele units
  • Utilize facility systems including Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
  • Adhere to holiday and scheduling requirements, including working assigned major holidays that fall within the contract period
  • Complete all compliance onboarding requirements and orientation modules within designated deadlines

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
  • Proficiency with Epic (required) and Pyxis
  • Willingness and ability to float to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units
  • All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule changes permitted post-offer or post-onsite

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with a broad range of MS, MS/Tele, and PCU diagnoses and patient populations
  • Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated flexibility in float pool or multi-unit environments
  • Familiarity with SBAR communication methodology
