Travel RN – Med/Surg Oncology (7M Unit)

Contract | Travel | Nights | 3x12 shifts (18:45–07:15) | 36 guaranteed hours per week | Every other weekend required | 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Oncology unit serving oncology, palliative, post-op bariatric, and med/surg overflow patients
• Maintain a patient ratio of 6:1 while delivering safe, compassionate, and quality-focused nursing care
• Operate and document within a Cerner EMR system, ensuring accurate and timely charting
• Utilize standard medical equipment including IV pumps, vital sign machines, and computers in daily patient care activities
• Float as needed within scope to other areas, including other facilities within a 25-mile radius

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current NIHSS certification (AHA)
• Ability to work night shifts (18:45–07:15) including every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Acute care experience in an inpatient hospital setting
• Prior experience with oncology, palliative care, or bariatric patient populations
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
