Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13 or 20-Week Assignment | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving a population that includes post-surgical patients, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF cases
• Perform and manage clinical skills including remote telemetry monitoring, chest tube care, NG/PEG tube management, straight cath/Foley insertion, ostomy care, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
• Maintain strong patient assessment and critical thinking practices in a fast-paced environment with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–5 on day shifts
• Float within skillset to a sister campus location as needed, with a minimum of 2 hours notice provided for cross-campus floats
• Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including three weekends per six-week schedule and every other holiday
• May be required to precept nursing students and new hires as part of a teaching hospital environment

Required Qualifications

• Current, active compact RN license
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of strong Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Recent Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage change, work resiliently in high-acuity environments, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Experience with cross-campus or multi-site float assignments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills suited for a team-oriented unit culture
