Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a full-service OR environment handling 55–60 cases per day across 19 surgical suites
- Support a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, thoracic, and robotic procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation approximately every 7th weekend; specialty call (ortho/neuro or cardiac/thoracic) assigned based on individual competency
- Rotate holiday coverage in coordination with permanent staff
- Collaborate with surgical teams including CST-certified OR techs, 24/7 respiratory therapy, and 24/7 pharmacy support
- Complete a one-week unit-specific orientation prior to independent practice
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2–3 years of Operating Room experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR
- Demonstrated basic competency across multiple surgical service lines
- Accurately completed skills checklist reflecting true experience level
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Ability to scrub in addition to circulating (scrubbing preferred but not required)
- Experience in orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, or thoracic surgical cases
- Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
