Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU (Travel Contract)

Location

Tucson, Arizona

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular ICU setting with a 2:1 patient ratio in a 15-bed unit
  • Manage patients post-CABG, STEMI, and vascular procedures
  • Operate and monitor ventilators and administer vasoactive drip therapy
  • Adhere to a schedule that includes 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Float to other units including Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit as needed
  • Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

  • Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac and/or ICU nursing experience
  • Demonstrated experience with ventilator management and vasoactive drips

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with open heart surgery patient care
  • Proficiency with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management
  • Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
