Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Orthopedics (Days)

Lawton, OK
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical Orthopedic unit
- Manage a patient assignment of up to 5 patients per shift in accordance with unit staffing ratios
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for med-surg and orthopedic patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient treatment plans and discharge planning
- Monitor and document patient progress, changes in condition, and responses to treatment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in a Medical Surgical nursing setting
- Ability to manage a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an orthopedic nursing environment
- Familiarity with post-operative orthopedic patient care and recovery protocols
