Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room
Location
Overland Park, Kansas
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a freestanding emergency department setting during night shift hours
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
- Document patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Maintain a safe and efficient care environment consistent with emergency department standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Kansas or a compact state license
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced emergency care environment
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a freestanding emergency department (FSED) setting
- TNCC or CEN certification
- Previous travel nursing experience
