Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for ICU patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards.
- Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction.
- Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess patient data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
- Adhere to the facility's scheduling requirements, including nights, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using the EPIC electronic health records system.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland (verification must be less than 30 days old).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience required.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.
- Must be willing to obtain NIHSS Certification within 48 hours if offered.
- Must be willing to obtain mRs/SIREN Certification within 48 hours if offered.
- Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records system required.
- Previous travel nursing experience required.
- COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be state-recorded.
- No scheduling restrictions; must be willing to work the facility's schedule.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an acute care facility with high admission and emergency volume.
- Familiarity with ICU-specific skills checklists and competency documentation.
