Job Title

RN - Medical Surgical

Location

Chanute, KS

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4:1 to 5:1
Chart and document patient information using Cerner EMR
Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
Administer infusions in coordination with the infusion center as needed
Occasionally care for pediatric patients on the Medical Surgical floor, including presentations such as Croup or RSV

Required Qualifications

Active Kansas RN license or multistate compact license required at time of submission
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
General medical and surgical knowledge and clinical competency
Proficiency with Cerner EMR for charting

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with infusion therapy
Experience caring for pediatric patients in a medical surgical environment
Ability to accommodate a block schedule with three consecutive shifts
