Contract | Days (0700–1930) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed flex intermediate and general care unit with a 1:4 RN-to-patient ratio
• Care for a primary population of oncology and benign surgical patients across specialties including ear, nose and throat, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips as part of ongoing patient monitoring
• Participate in self-scheduling while meeting holiday and weekend shift requirements (3 of 4 holidays; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
• Float to areas of equal or lesser patient care level as needed
• Document and manage patient care using the EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience caring for surgical oncology or post-operative patient populations
• Familiarity with multi-specialty surgical patient care including thoracic, urology, and colorectal
