Registered Nurse – ICU (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required | On-Call As Needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed ICU/CCU unit serving patients of all ages
  • Manage high-acuity cases including respiratory failure and other critical diagnoses
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:2–3 in accordance with unit standards
  • Document accurately and efficiently using Cerner EHR
  • Float to other units as needed, with a float ratio of up to 1:6
  • Participate in weekend and on-call coverage as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN licensure meeting all education and credentialing requirements to practice in North Carolina
  • Minimum 1–2 years of ICU experience
  • Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIH Stroke Scale
  • Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with high-acuity critical care patient populations
  • Familiarity with Cerner EHR platform
