Travel RN – Neuro Med/Surg (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Every 3rd Weekend Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Neuro/Medical-Surgical acute care unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Perform dysphagia screenings and stroke assessments for general medicine and neuro/post-stroke patients
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA) for accurate documentation and medication management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver patient-centered care
• Float to other units within the acute care division as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of experience in neuro/post-stroke acute care or medical-surgical nursing
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current NIHSS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency with BCMA and Cerner EMR
• Strong time management and interdisciplinary communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with TR band management
