Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to ICU patients as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition in a critical care environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC EMR.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Iowa license required; Compact license accepted.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
