Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry (4 North CCU) | Days

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Projected Start: September 21, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips, and monitor patients on continuous telemetry
- Administer and titrate IV medications including insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
- Perform and assist with unit procedures including IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemaker management, and Foley insertions
- Provide post-cardiac procedural care for patients following ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post-Op Day 1 open heart surgery, and permanent pacemaker placements
- Deliver patient-centered care in alignment with established patient experience standards, including bedside shift report and patient education
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, or ICU experience
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips
- Experience with post-cardiac procedural care and IV medication titration
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency or ability to learn Meditech documentation system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac or telemetry setting
- Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps, temporary pacemakers, wound vacs, and Imobile communication systems
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac unit
