Registered Nurse – Oncology (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on a 7th floor oncology unit serving oncology, palliative, post-operative bariatric, and med/surg overflow patients
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer treatments, and document care accurately using Epic EMR
  • Operate standard medical equipment including IV pumps, vital sign machines, and other unit-based tools
  • Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1 in an 18-bed unit setting
  • Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Current NIHSS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Demonstrated Med/Surg experience
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Acute care experience in an inpatient hospital setting
  • Experience caring for oncology or palliative care patient populations
  • Familiarity with post-operative bariatric patient care
