Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients as a member of the interdisciplinary team
• Manage and administer titratable sedation, titratable pressors, titratable insulin, and heparin drips in a surgical ICU setting
• Monitor and assess critically ill patients, utilizing NIHSS and other clinical tools as appropriate
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
• Participate in holiday coverage, including working 1–2 of 3 designated summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical ICU (SICU) experience required
• Active Illinois RN state license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification (AHA) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license)
• Must not have been employed at the client facility within the last 12 months
• Must be comfortable floating across campuses within the same discipline

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
• Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center environment
