Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting serving all age ranges, from infant to geriatric
• Manage complex and varied patient diagnoses within a high-volume ED environment (Average Daily Census: 130; 47-bed unit)
• Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio while delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care
• Float within the Emergency Department specialty as required
• Adhere to all scheduling requirements including every-other-weekend and holiday commitments as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact State license
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience (2 years preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Current PALS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only accepted online vendor)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing complex, multi-diagnosis patient populations across all age groups in a high-acuity ED
• First-time travelers with strong Emergency Room skills and experience are encouraged to apply
• Comfort with floating within specialty scope and adapting to varying scheduling needs
