Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Evening Shift – 5x8 Hours (2:45 PM – 11:15 PM) | Rotational weekends and on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for a wide variety of OR cases including trauma, urology, podiatry, orthopedics, plastics, neurosurgery, gynecology, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiac, bariatric, and DaVinci robotic procedures
• Provide direct 1:1 perioperative nursing care for adult and geriatric patient populations within a Level II Trauma Center
• Participate in rotational on-call shifts, including weekday, weeknight, and weekend coverage, with required 30-minute call-in response time
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
• Float within the OR specialty and to a sister campus as operationally needed
• Work holidays as scheduled per departmental requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2–3 years of Operating Room RN experience (strong experience considered at 2 years)
• Demonstrated ability to both scrub and circulate
• Experience with general OR cases and DaVinci robotic surgery
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association only
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association preferred
• Experience across multiple OR subspecialties including trauma, thoracic, vascular, and/or bariatric surgery
• Prior travel nursing experience in an OR setting
