ED Boarder – Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)

Contract | Rotating Shifts (3x12 Day/Night Rotation or Straight Nights) | Every Other Holiday, Every Other Weekend
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to ED boarding patients within the emergency department setting
- Manage and monitor boarded patients awaiting inpatient placement, ensuring continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary ED and medical-surgical teams to coordinate patient needs
- Adapt to rotating day and night shift schedules, including every other weekend and every other holiday coverage
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Medical-Surgical nursing background
- Experience in an emergency department or acute care environment
- Ability to work rotating day/night shifts or straight nights as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Familiarity with ED boarding workflows and patient throughput processes
