Key Responsibilities

Provide direct and individualized nursing care to a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients, based on scientific nursing principles
Consult and coordinate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes; report adverse reactions in accordance with facility policy
Monitor and adjust specialized patient care equipment; interpret and record electronic displays, and initiate corrective action when adverse symptomatology is observed
Initiate and carry out patient and family education plans, including post-treatment home care needs, wound care, catheter insertion, and IV placement
Accurately document all care information in a timely manner and participate in discharge planning

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of clinical Medical Surgical nursing experience
Active Wyoming RN license or a multi-state compact RN license
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications — all must be issued through the American Heart Association
All certifications and RN license must be attached at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
Previous experience working in a community hospital environment, either in a permanent or contract capacity
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
