Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13–14 Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | 4 Weekend Shifts per Month Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Labor & Delivery unit with a 2:1 patient ratio in a 12-bed unit
• Circulate C-sections as required by unit needs
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed — charge experience is required
• Collaborate with unit technicians and secretarial staff to ensure continuity of care
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Float to other units as needed per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License required — temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring (FM) certifications
• AWHONN certification required
• Demonstrated charge nurse experience with willingness to work in charge role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• RNC (Registered Nurse Certified) in a relevant specialty
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
