Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Stroke Unit

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Stroke Unit in an inpatient hospital setting
• Assess, monitor, and document neurological and medical-surgical patient conditions throughout the shift
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Perform stroke-specific assessments utilizing the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida state RN license or multistate compact license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience
• Demonstrated stroke unit experience (must be reflected in submission)
• AHCA compliance required for all Florida-based travel assignments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Stroke Unit setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
