Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a primarily Medical Surgical population, including observation patients, surgical patients, and surgical observation cases
• Care for patients with respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, diabetes (including new diabetics and patients with diabetes-related complications), palliative, end-of-life, and hospice patients, as well as psychiatric observation patients
• Accurately document all patient care activities and assessments using EPIC EMR
• Pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding and apply telemetry monitoring knowledge as required by the unit
• Float to other system campuses as needed to meet staffing demands
• Complete unit-based orientation modules as assigned during the onboarding period

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts allowed)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Current, valid driver's license required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience as a Charge RN preferred
