Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift | Full-Time | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients, based on scientific nursing principles
- Consult and coordinate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes; report adverse reactions in accordance with facility policy
- Monitor and adjust specialized patient care equipment; interpret and record electronic displays, and initiate corrective action when adverse symptomatology is observed
- Initiate and implement patient education plans as prescribed, including post-treatment home care instructions for patients and their support persons
- Perform bedside care duties including dressing changes, catheter insertion, IV starts, and participation in discharge planning; document all care accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Active Wyoming RN license or a multi-state RN license (must be provided at time of submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical nursing
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be provided at time of submission)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Previous experience working in a community hospital setting, either in a permanent or contract capacity
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
