Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting operating 24/7
- Assess and triage patients presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions including stroke symptoms, cardiac events, seizures, severe injuries, burns, and acute abdominal pain
- Deliver timely interventions for serious injuries such as fractures, head trauma, deep lacerations, and uncontrolled bleeding
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to stabilize and manage critically ill or injured patients
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the EMR system (Cerner)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN Emergency Department experience (required)
- Active Michigan RN license (required)
- TNCC certification – ENPC is not accepted (required)
- ACLS certification (required)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
- PALS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Level II trauma center environment
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
- Experience in a high-volume, comprehensive emergency and trauma care setting
