Seasonal Travel RN – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Saturday through Monday with rotation of one additional weekday shift covering a third shift; weekend on-call required approximately once every six weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a multi-specialty operating room environment maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio
• Circulate and/or scrub across a variety of surgical procedures including angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and orthopedic/spine cases
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and ancillary staff to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
• Utilize facility EMR system to document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as assigned, including one weekday on-call shift per week (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM) and weekend on-call rotation
• Prioritize patient experience through clear communication and adaptability in a fast-paced surgical environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum of 1–2 years of current hospital acute care experience in an operating room setting
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to work a Saturday through Monday schedule with rotating weekday shift coverage

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in both circulating and scrubbing roles within a surgical setting
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Experience with Stryker video systems or comparable standard OR equipment
