Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week (up to 40 hours available) | Rotating Shifts (8 and 12-hour shifts; primarily 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Level II Trauma Emergency Room setting
- Manage and monitor patients across a rotating schedule including evening and overnight shifts
- Utilize Epic electronic health records system for accurate and timely charting
- Perform and interpret 12-lead EKG and dysrhythmia assessments
- Adapt effectively to a dynamic, high-acuity emergency environment while maintaining patient safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Indiana RN license or valid Compact State RN license
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Must successfully pass a 12-lead EKG and Dysrhythmia exam
- Proficiency with Epic EHR within the past year (checkoff class will be required)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric emergency nursing experience
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma center
- Strong adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, high-change environments
