Travel Registered Nurse – Orthopedic/Trauma (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed Orthopedic/Trauma unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
- Care for post-operative patients including knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, as well as trauma patients
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including traction devices, fixators, and cooling equipment
- Complete documentation accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
- Conduct bedside shift reports and perform hourly patient rounding in accordance with unit standards
- Float to other Medical-Surgical level-of-care units as needed per facility floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
- Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week, including three weekend shifts per schedule period
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
- Telemetry (Tele) experience
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or familiarity, particularly helpful given occasional neuro overflow patients
