Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Variable Day/Mid Shifts (7a–7p or 11a–11p) | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver fast, high-quality emergency care to adult and pediatric patients across a broad acuity spectrum, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies
- Perform thorough patient assessments and apply strong critical thinking skills in a high-acuity, fast-paced satellite emergency department setting
- Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adapt to variable shift scheduling (day or mid shifts) based on unit need
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as required by unit staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Indiana RN license or valid Compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and manage change effectively
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Experience working in a satellite or freestanding emergency department environment
