Registered Nurse – Progressive Care (PCU/IMC/Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Shift varies, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
• Must be available to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown specialty
• Required: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Required: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in an intermediate care environment
• Familiarity with high-acuity patient populations transitioning from intensive care
