Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Includes Weekends and Holidays as Needed | No On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Perform assessments, triage, and interventions appropriate to emergency patient populations
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic EMR
• Float between campuses (Downtown and Northeast) as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rate; local candidates within 60 miles will be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume acute care emergency department
• Familiarity with floating between multiple campuses or units
• Strong adaptability and ability to work effectively during high-census periods
