Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed acute care Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 RN/LPN patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings as part of routine patient assessment
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, ESRD, pneumonia, renal failure, sickle cell crisis, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, AMS, and sepsis
• Collaborate with in-house hospitalists (available 24/7) and respiratory therapy (available 24/7) to coordinate patient care
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Participate in charge nurse responsibilities as needed and float occasionally to other units

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Georgia
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as required
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible (distance measured from address on driver's license to facility)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Med Surg setting
