Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend | 8-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Monitor and manage cardiac patients including cardiac observation, post cardiac cath lab patients, and cardioversion patients within an adult population
• Utilize telemetry equipment and document within the Paragon EHR system
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications and apply competencies in daily clinical practice
• Float to other units as required per facility float policy
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while demonstrating strong communication skills and flexibility

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of an ADN degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a stepdown or ICU setting
• Current and valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with cardiac patient populations
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring in a progressive care or stepdown environment
• Familiarity with Paragon EHR
• Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical setting
