Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients in a unit averaging 2,000 annual deliveries, utilizing 8 private labor rooms, 4 private triage beds, and 2 OB operating rooms
• Care for both low-risk patients, including a certified nurse midwife population, and high-risk patients under maternal fetal medicine
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and apply AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring competencies throughout patient care
• Cross-train to Mother/Baby unit; may be floated to NICU (feeders/growers) within scope of practice as needed
• Adhere to unit scheduling requirements, including working 2 out of 3 winter holidays and every other weekend
• Document and manage patient care using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics and maternal fetal medicine populations
• Prior cross-training experience in Mother/Baby or NICU settings
