Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Care for post-operative recovery patients transitioning from the OR
- Manage oncology med/surg overflow patient population
- Float as needed within scope of practice
- Administer and monitor respiratory support including nasal cannula oxygen therapy
- Maintain compliance with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are strictly prohibited in all patient care departments
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical RN experience
- Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
- Candidates must not be currently employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with oncology or med/surg overflow patient populations
- Post-operative or PACU recovery experience
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
